Mahi Mahi

While fishing offshore in the Gulf of Mexico during August 2015, I hooked up on this great fish. Thanks to the charter team and of course all the guys I had a great time fishing with for the support. I was excited and totally exhausted after this.

The mahimahi (/ˈmɑːhiːˈmɑːhiː/)[2] or common dolphinfish[3] (Coryphaena hippurus) is a surface-dwelling ray-finned fish found in off-shore temperate, tropical and subtropical waters worldwide. Also known widely as dorado and dolphin, it is one of two members of the Coryphaenidae family, the other being the pompano dolphinfish.

The name mahimahi means very strong in Hawaiian. In other languages, the fish is known as dorade coryphène, dorado, dolphin, lampuga, llampuga, lampuka, lampuki, rakingo, calitos, ti-rone or maverikos.

Music credits to Billy Currington whom was also awesome at the Houston Rodeo this year.
